_SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION
_
The Asset Optimization Resource Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the administration and optimization of various aspects of NorthWestern Energy's generation facilities and long-term contractual commitments in Montana
_DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS_
All NorthWestern Energy employees are required to adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Assist in optimizing the use of available reservoir storage in compliance with hydro project licenses, operational guidelines, stream-flow forecasts and power market conditions
Assist in updating the management of flood and drought control for the hydro facilities in Montana
Assist in administering water rights issues and hydro coordination agreements
Assist in the day ahead and hourly scheduling of excess energy as needed
Perform other analysis, modeling and projects to support optimization of NorthWestern Energy's generation facilities and long-term contractual obligations
_GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
_
Must be able to demonstrate a good safety record
Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or comparable field
Minimum of two years' experience in power scheduling, generation resource management or related field
Strong computer skills and a minimum of two years' experience with Microsoft Office products
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with groups and teams to accomplish organizational goals
Ability to read, interpret and apply complex operating agreements and standards
Ability to represent NorthWestern Energy appropriately in public meetings and processes
