Summary:
Assist the deli manager and/or store manager insupervisory decisions that are consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures.
Assists in planning, leadership, organization, and follow-up with controllable expenses, sales expenses, sales increases, food costs, and shortage controls.
Set the proper example for co-workers in terms of professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in the areas of customer service and store operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Assist Deli Manager in making management decisions for the deli operation.
Assist Deli Manager with development of department staff.
Assist Deli Manager with new employee training and orientation.
Interact with the public, providing exceptional customer service.
Prepare deli items and cook heated items.
Effectively prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on shift tasks to be accomplished.
Security of all store assets.
Control of cost inventories.
Order and maintain deli merchandise.
Merchandising, to include receiving, pricing, stocking, displaying, and stock rotating.
Store maintenance includes basic repairs of deli equipment.
Kitchen and store safety.
Maintain highest quality standards in food preparation.
Follow sanitation procedures.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assist cashiers and manager as needed.
Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
